The Christmas Hero was my final video for Animation II class. As you can see, my character modeling needs a lot of work. I find that I am best at modeling objects, and will leave character to someone else. In the end, I couldn’t even get anything but the “little boy” to animate.
The project required us to come up with a 5 page script but then we only needed to animate a little bit of it.
I suppose this video would serve to be more like a teaser or trailer for an actual movie. The whole movie was supposed to be a comedy where a man robs a bank and outruns the police. He thinks he’s home free when this little boy decides he wants to play with the man because he thinks he’s all alone on Christmas day. He then produces various objects out of a giant present box and each toy attacks and maims the robber until he eventually gives up and the cops arrive. The “master” object is the ATAT model which we did for another assignment that comes and tramples the man in the end.
